Lady Augusta II, Marquise of Oakland, holds court. Everyone came. Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are also expected. When a murder occurs in the course of the evening, it seems as if the curse of the Ashtonburrys is being fulfilled once again.

Sherlock Holmes has to investigate. But behind which mask lurks death? Or are there even supernatural powers at work here…?
