Certified Business

VDR certification as a Certified Business Hotel® The Association of German Travel Management e. VDR) is an association of travel and mobility managers from German commercial enterprises and service providers in the mobility industry. In 2000, this association developed the Certified Business Hotel® certificate, which specifically reflects the needs of business travellers and is therefore intended to serve as an optimal decision-making aid for bookings. The test catalogue for a Certified Business Hotel® comprises 100 criteria. The voluntary certification remains valid for a maximum of three years and was last audited on site in June 2023 and successfully passed as the best Certified Business Hotel in Bavaria.

Among other things, the following areas were audited and rated above average:

  • Mobile phone accessibility is guaranteed throughout the hotel
  • The light at the desk is at least 500 lux
  • The hotel lends standard charging adapters at reception
  • The hotel provides a dining service until at least 23:00
  • All rooms have individually adjustable air conditioning
  • Free high-speed WiFi internet is available throughout the hotel
Certified Conference

In order to provide you as an event planner with orientation and security in a selection of over 3,200 conference hotels in Germany, the German Travel Management Association (Verband Deutsches Reisemanagement e. V. – VDR) has developed the Certified Conference Hotel® certificate. V. (VDR) has developed the Certified Conference Hotel® certificate. A Certified Conference Hotel® must fulfil 70 criteria from seven different categories in order to create the conditions for a successful event. The voluntary certification remains valid for a maximum of three years and was last reviewed on site in June 2023 and assessed as exemplary by the auditor.

Among other things, the following points were assessed:

  • The conference rooms comply with a sound insulation regulation of at least 45 dB
  • The conference rooms all have natural daylight and the lighting is dimmable and switchable by segment
  • The hotel adheres to a standardised quotation procedure and has conference-specific information material
  • The hotel provides professional conference support before, during and after the event
  • Beamer, flipchart, moderator case, pin board and free WiFi high-speed internet are part of the basic equipment
  • There are sufficient power sockets in the conference area, high voltage current if necessary and much more.
Certified Green

Sustainable behaviour and management will become increasingly important in the future. For this reason, the VDR has developed a further certificate that focuses on ecological and socially responsible behaviour. With the Certified Green Hotel® certification, the hotel can give companies with above-average ecological and sustainability standards the guarantee that they are using a service provider that fulfils the requirements of sustainable management 100 %. The test catalogue for a Certified Green Hotel® comprises 95 individual criteria from nine different categories (energy, water, waste, F&B, travel & transport, CSR, communication, special measures, strategy).

The voluntary certification remains valid for a maximum of three years and was last audited on site in June 2023 and passed with above-average success.
